Indie Reads Blog Hop & Giveaway

Thanks to Sarah from That Bookish Girl for creating and hosting this great giveaway event.

The idea behind Indie Reads Week is to share some of your favourite indie reads with everyone and to put up at least one book for giveaway to share with others.

My giveaway:

I couldn’t choose which book I wanted to give away so I’m leaving it up to you!

Up for grabs is ONE of the following books/two packs in KINDLE (US) format.

Because it’s KINDLE format, this means it’s also INTERNATIONAL (as long as you can accept books from the Kindle US website, you can enter the giveaway).

Must be 13 years or older to enter.

Get an extra entry by following (following is not required to enter the giveaway).

The Naked Gardener by L.B. Gschwandtner
Contemporary Fiction. A group of women go on a canoe trip to brainstorm ways they save their small town all while getting to know each other better and coming to terms with different issues in their lives. My rating for this book: 4.5/5

Day of Sacrifice Stories: The Prophecy and Rebellion by S.W. Benefiel
PNR novella series. In this grisly paranormal world, the first born of each supernatural family must be sacrificed to the gods for them to keep their powers. Guardians, vampires, witches, werewolves, humans and more. My ratings: 3/5

Apocalypto two pack: Hero Material and Spiderwork by L.K. Rigel
Sci-fi and fantasy (PNR) novella series. In the first book: This futuristic world collapses and the god Asherah (focused on fertility) takes over. In the second book: The world begins to rebuild under the guidance of Asherah. My ratings: 3/5 and 4/5

Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider by Ellen C. Maze
Paranormal/Thriller/Horror. In this faith based vampire tale, author Beth Rider publishes a book that is making trouble for the Rakum (vampires). The story is too close to home for the Rakum and Beth is marked as a “rabbit”. How does she escape them and change their world at the same time? Pick this one to find out! My rating: 5/5

The Judging by Ellen C. Maze
Paranormal/Horror. Another faith based vampire tale. This one is about Dr. Mark Corescu, a vampire who feeds/kills the evil people who he learns about as a way to get them to repent and go back to God. But is it really God’s will that he do this? Pick this one to find out! My rating: 5/5

How to enter:
(that's a it!)

  1. I'll share this giveaway on my FB...

  2. im a new follower! not entering b/c i have a Nook, but thought you could check out my blog too! =]

  3. Wow, what a great bunch of books! And I'm so impressed with what you're doing here at 100 Stars or Less. I know there are a lot of very talented writers out there who just don't fit in the traditional publishers' box, but how do they find an audience? You're certainly helping!

I would like to recommend Delle Jacobs for anyone who enjoys historical romance. She's won numerous awards, but never could quite write to NY publisher expectations. Yet her wonderfully written stories are now finding a large audience thanks to the indie author movement.

  4. Thank you Norah. I added Fire Dance by Delle Jacobs to my goodreads list. I had never heard of her before.

  5. Thanks lisapeters at yahoo dot com

  6. Thanks for this giveaway!

I love that there are a few of us out there who are looking to those indie authors. I really think there's a huge talent pool out there :)
